Has Samsung’s latest TV update solved major issues?

Recently, Samsung released a significant software update for its S90C OLED TV, addressing several key issues that previously affected user experience. The update, based on Tizen 9.0, brings a refreshed user interface that aligns more closely with the One UI found on Samsung Galaxy devices, significantly enhancing the TV’s speed and responsiveness. The sluggishness introduced with the Tizen 8 update has been resolved, making the TV feel faster than when it was first purchased.

One of the most notable improvements is the elimination of the automatic launch of Samsung TV Plus when accessing the Settings menu or browsing channels. Users can now disable this feature in the settings, opting to land on the home screen instead. Additionally, the Settings menu has been redesigned to appear as a smaller, less intrusive panel, enhancing navigation by mirroring the interface of Galaxy phones. Customization options for menu size and transparency have also been introduced.

The update also addresses the issue of the oversized volume bar, reducing its size and removing unnecessary details, though it still displays the audio device’s name. Despite these improvements, the update has not resolved all issues, as problems with wireless Q-Symphony connections on mesh Wi-Fi networks continue to persist.
