Should You Wait to Buy the New iPhone?

If you’re considering purchasing a new iPhone, it might be wise to wait. Apple is reportedly planning a special 20th-anniversary iPhone, set to release in September 2027, which promises a significant redesign—the biggest since the iPhone X in 2017. This new model is expected to feature glass edges that seamlessly curve into the display on all sides and may lack bezels around the screen. There’s also speculation about the removal of screen cutouts, although it’s uncertain if the front camera and Face ID system will be integrated under the screen by then. With these ambitious developments, the upcoming iPhone could be worth the wait. However, for those who upgrade annually, this might not be as relevant. Meanwhile, Apple is planning to release the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its first foldable iPhone in September 2026, with additional models like the iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and a second-generation iPhone Air expected by March 2027.
