Samsung is ramping up production of its Galaxy S26 series due to strong demand, particularly for the Ultra model. The company has set a new production target for May 2026, aiming to manufacture 1 million units of the Galaxy S26, 200,000 units of the S26+, and between 1.2 to 1.3 million units of the S26 Ultra. This marks an increase from the April 2026 estimates, which projected 700,000 units for the base model, 200,000 to 300,000 for the Plus model, and 1 to 1.1 million for the Ultra variant. The Ultra model, featuring an innovative Privacy Display that conceals screen content from side angles, accounts for approximately 70% of the lineup’s sales. Samsung anticipates that the Galaxy S26 series will bolster sales during the typically slow second quarter, as premium devices like these yield higher profits per unit compared to mid-range models. Despite potentially lower shipment volumes, revenue and profits are expected to rise. Currently, Samsung’s US online store offers discounts on all Galaxy S26 models, with the Ultra and S26+ reduced by $200 and the standard S26 by $100, indicating a push to strengthen sales of its flagship models for 2026.
