QuarryLabs Inc., based in Salt Lake City, has launched the Genesis Quarry Miner Initiative, calling on select strategic partners to secure its network as it approaches the completion of a $5 million seed round. This initiative aims to involve a curated group of infrastructure providers, ecosystem builders, and capital partners in the development of the QuarryChain, a Layer-1 blockchain using a Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus model. This model is designed to be more scalable and energy-efficient than traditional Proof of Stake systems.
The initiative offers partners the chance to operate genesis validator nodes, receive priority technical support during the testnet launch, and influence governance parameters for the mainnet. QuarryLabs emphasizes the importance of starting with a committed group of operators to ensure a reliable and distributed network.
In addition to the base protocol, QuarryLabs is developing QuarrySwap, a no-code API that allows teams to launch tokens and integrate on-chain swaps without writing custom code, aiming to accelerate application deployment on the DPoS blockchain.
Founder Alec Arrambide highlights the importance of trust and long-term commitment from network operators. Following the seed round, the QRY Token ICO will take place, with allocations for initiative participants and the public sale. The QRY token will serve as the network’s gas, staking, and governance asset.
