Are “Suggested Genmoji” Coming to Your iPhone Soon?

Apple is set to introduce a new feature in iOS 27 that enhances the use of generative Genmoji, an AI-driven tool that creates unique emoji characters from text input. Previously criticized for producing less-than-perfect results and causing iPhones to overheat and lose battery life, the feature has been improved to address these issues. Additionally, a new “Suggested Genmoji” feature will automatically generate emoji suggestions based on users’ media and text history, offering a more personalized experience. This optional feature can be activated through a new toggle in the Keyboard settings. iOS 27 is expected to be showcased at the upcoming WWDC, with a public release anticipated in the fall.
