What should you know about the Samsung Galaxy S27 Pro?

Samsung is anticipated to unveil the Galaxy S27 Pro alongside three other models in the Galaxy S27 series, likely in early 2027. The phone is expected to feature a premium design with a 6.47-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display offering QHD+ resolution, a 120Hz variable refresh rate, HDR10+, and an impressive peak brightness of over 2,600 nits. It might include Privacy Display technology but is not expected to come with an S Pen stylus. Additional features include stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos support, and an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader.

The camera setup may consist of a 12MP front camera and a triple rear camera system with a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. Video recording capabilities could reach up to 8K at 30fps for the rear cameras, with all cameras supporting HDR and electronic image stabilization.

Under the hood, the Galaxy S27 Pro might be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor, paired with at least 12GB of RAM and a minimum of 256GB of storage, with options for 512GB and 1TB. It is expected to support global 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, UWB, NFC, and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port. The device may also feature Samsung Pay and Wireless DeX, with a 5,000mAh battery supporting fast charging options.

The phone could run on Android 17 with One UI 9.0, offering enhanced Galaxy AI features. Samsung is expected to provide software and security updates for up to seven years, with Android 24 as the final major update. Although not officially announced, the Galaxy S27 Pro might be priced at around $1,200, positioning it between the Galaxy S27+ and Galaxy S27 Ultra in terms of cost.
