Is Truecaller entering the travel eSIM market?

Truecaller has stepped into the travel eSIM market with new services targeting travelers, as part of its strategy to diversify revenue streams amidst declining ad revenues. The company offers data packages ranging from 1GB for a week to 20GB for a month. Initially, the service will be available in 29 countries, including the US, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and several European and African nations. However, India, Truecaller’s largest market, is not included in the initial rollout due to stringent eSIM regulations. Sweden-based Telness Tech provides the backend infrastructure, enabling the deployment of digital mobile services. Truecaller’s COO, Fredrik Kjell, highlighted the service as a natural extension of the brand, starting with iPhone and web channels, with plans to expand to Android and more markets.
