Meta Fashion, a cutting-edge digital fashion platform, has secured a $400K pre-seed funding round led by Lumikai, a prominent VC fund focused on interactive media and digital platforms in India. Founded by 19-year-old Arjun Goel, Meta Fashion aims to establish itself as the “Zara for the Virtual World” by creating digital fashion items for platforms like Roblox, Fortnite, and ZEPETO. Arjun, who gained recognition on Shark Tank, collaborates with co-founder Sanjay Goel, an experienced entrepreneur with a background in consumer tech.
The company is also developing an original game, Glam Girls, for Roblox and has launched a direct-to-consumer line that transforms virtual bestsellers into physical fashion items. Meta Fashion’s AI-driven platform enhances fashion asset creation by analyzing market trends and demand signals. The company has sold over 2.5 million virtual fashion units on Roblox, generating $300K in gross merchandise value with a 92% gross margin. Partnerships with global brands like Walmart have further expanded their reach.
Roblox, a major platform in the user-generated content space, has grown significantly, boasting 150 million daily active users and $6.8 billion in annual bookings in 2025. As the user base matures, platforms like Roblox are becoming fertile ground for venture-scale IP businesses. Arjun Goel envisions Meta Fashion as a leading consumer IP company for these digital platforms, combining creativity and commercial acumen. Lumikai’s Principal, Aditya Deshpande, praised Arjun for his ability to foresee trends and build a profitable operation, aligning with Lumikai’s investment thesis on the rise of UGC platforms and the professionalization of creators.
