Has AirMDR Secured $15.5 Million to Revolutionize Managed Detection and Response?

AirMDR, a company specializing in AI-native Managed Detection and Response (MDR), has successfully completed a $15.5 million seed funding round. An additional $10.5 million will be used to expand sales and marketing efforts targeting enterprise and SMB sectors that are currently underserved by existing MDR solutions. The funding round was led by Race Capital with participation from Foundation Capital and Storm Ventures.

Co-founders Kumar Saurabh and Srikant Vissamsetti bring extensive experience from companies like Sumo Logic and ArcSight. AirMDR addresses the shortcomings of traditional MDRs for SMBs by deploying an AI analyst that autonomously manages alerts in real-time, supported by a human SOC team for validation and response refinement.

The platform emphasizes quality, speed, and affordability, with AI analysts continuously learning and executing tasks with precision. Automated playbooks enable swift investigations and responses with full transparency. With over 200 integrations, AirMDR ensures comprehensive coverage of security stacks.

AirMDR offers a fully managed service that combines automation with expert human oversight, providing rapid AI-driven responses, seamless onboarding, and integration. The new capital will enhance demand for AirMDR’s AI SOC, recently recognized at the 2025 Black Hat Startup Spotlight Competition.
