How does Samsung enhance blood donation comfort with Galaxy XR?

Samsung is leveraging its Galaxy XR technology to enhance the experience of blood donation by immersing donors in a calming digital reality. In collaboration with Abbott and the Korean Red Cross, Samsung introduced South Korea’s first XR-powered blood donation drive at its Digital City in Suwon on June 2, 2026, coinciding with World Blood Donor Day. Participants, including Samsung employees, experienced a serene virtual garden environment while donating blood, without the need for hand gestures or controllers. The XR experience involved planting virtual seeds with their gaze, resulting in flowers and trees blooming amid soothing music created with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. Samsung and Abbott plan to expand this initiative to major global events in the United States and Malaysia.
