Niteshift, a startup specializing in AI coding agents, has successfully raised $7 million in a seed funding round. This round was led by Jerry Chen from Greylock, with participation from notable investors such as Reid Hoffman, Olivier Pomel, Alexis Le-Quoc, Ankur Goyal, and Misha Laskin. The company aims to develop an AI coding infrastructure platform that prevents vendor lock-in, allowing businesses to utilize various AI models without being restricted to a single provider. Founded in 2026 by Datadog veterans Sajid Mehmood and Conor Branagan, Niteshift offers a platform that facilitates the integration, execution, and maintenance of AI-generated code while ensuring model independence. The newly acquired funds will be used to enhance their AI coding cloud platform, which intelligently routes projects between different AI models based on specific needs, promoting autonomy and reducing dependence on individual model makers.
