Apple has developed several features for its upcoming iOS 27 that were not revealed during the recent WWDC. These features are already active in internal versions of the software on employee devices and are expected to be made public in the future.
One of the anticipated features is a customizable Camera app for the iPhone, which allows users to rearrange camera controls as widgets. This feature is likely being reserved for the iPhone 18 Pro, which will showcase significant camera hardware advancements.
Another major feature is the Extensions framework, designed to enable third-party AI chatbots to integrate with Siri and other Apple services. Although the underlying support is already present in the iOS 27 developer beta, Apple has not yet activated it publicly. Discussions with companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google have taken place regarding the framework, which is expected to be introduced later.
Lastly, a new Modular watch face for the Apple Watch was anticipated but did not make an appearance at WWDC. This watch face is expected to debut with new Apple Watch models this fall.
