Has the Beats Studio Buds firmware update fixed a Bluetooth vulnerability?

Apple has issued a firmware update, version 1B211, for the Beats Studio Buds to address a Bluetooth vulnerability. The update resolves a security flaw that could have allowed attackers within Bluetooth range to access the device’s microphone. This vulnerability was present when the Studio Buds were unpaired and actively seeking pair requests. The flaw originated in open-source code, impacting Apple Software among other projects. To update the firmware, users should pair the Beats Studio Buds with an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, place them on a charger, and ensure they remain within Bluetooth range of the paired device.
