Is Samsung testing One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy S23?

Samsung has begun testing One UI 9.0 for the Galaxy S23, as indicated by a newly discovered firmware file on the company’s server. This development marks the start of Samsung’s efforts to bring its latest Android customization to its 2023 flagship non-foldable smartphones. The firmware version is labeled S911BXXUAGZF9.

Last month, Samsung introduced One UI 9.0 and released a beta version exclusively for the Galaxy S26. Since then, development has expanded to include the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S24, Galaxy A56, Galaxy A55, and now the Galaxy S23. The company is expected to soon begin testing the software on other models, including the Galaxy Z series.

Built on Android 17, One UI 9.0 replaces the Android 16 QPR2-based One UI 8.5. While it doesn’t drastically change the visual design, it offers enhanced interface customization and introduces numerous new features.
