Will the Galaxy A18 use an Exynos chip?

Samsung has initiated software development for the upcoming Galaxy A18, which will be available in both 4G and 5G versions. Contrary to previous models, the Galaxy A18 will not feature Samsung’s Exynos processors. Instead, the 4G variant will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity processor, while the 5G model will use a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. This decision aims to lower production costs in response to increasing memory prices. The Galaxy A18 4G is set for mass production starting in August 2026, with an expected production of 100,000 units in August, ramping up to 2.4 million units in September and 2.5 million in October. The 4G version is anticipated to launch a few months ahead of the 5G variant in the latter half of the year.
