Freehand has announced a $75 million seed round as the AI startup focused on supply-chain procurement already works with customers such as Meta and Dunkin’. The company says it relies on a core piece of intellectual property, called the Category Context Graph, to give its automated agents the situational knowledge of procurement experts and to provide full traceability for every decision.

Funding and governance
Investors in this seed round include Battery Ventures and NewRoad Capital Partners. Dharmesh Thakker, General Partner at Battery Ventures, is joining Freehand’s board. If you’d like, I can suggest possible ways to complete that quote based on the company’s stated positioning.
