A specialized source recently suggested September 8 or 9 as the most probable keynote dates. Apple typically issues invitations about two weeks ahead of its iPhone events, which would put Tuesday, August 25 or Wednesday, August 26 as the most likely days for the official invites to go out.
What to expect in September
The September keynote is said to focus on Apple’s premium lineup: the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the foldable iPhone Ultra. More affordable models — the iPhone 18, an entry-level iPhone 18e and the iPhone Air 2 — reportedly won’t be part of this fall rollout and could be pushed to a staggered launch around March 2027.
Event format and hands-on sessions
Since 2020, Apple’s iPhone keynote opener has been pre-recorded. In recent years the company has supplemented the video with an in-person preview at the Steve Jobs Theater for select journalists, followed by hands-on sessions with the new hardware.
