The feature, which surfaces film and series suggestions based on device usage and calendar events, now includes Netflix cards that let users resume playback from where they left off and display contextual recommendations — for example, “Travel Ready” picks ahead of a trip.

Now Brief can surface Netflix recommendation cards driven by phone usage patterns and the user’s calendar. Tapping a suggestion card will immediately resume the associated title from its last paused position. Recommendations adapt to context — for instance, travel-oriented suggestions appear when the system detects upcoming travel or related preparations.

One UI 9.0’s Finder expands the integration by allowing users to search for titles directly from the system interface and receive Netflix-related results without opening the standalone app. The faster search flow is intended to reduce the steps needed to reach content, centralizing discovery in One UI.

Now Brief debuted with the Galaxy S24 lineup but initially drew criticism for its execution.
