Microsoft confirmed on Wednesday that a single “Copilot super app” combining its chat, coding and agentic features will launch later this year, CEO Satya Nadella said during an earnings call.

According to Microsoft’s comments, the super app will unify several existing Copilot capabilities: the conversational Copilot, coding assistance, Copilot Cowork collaboration features and the more autonomous Autopilots. The confirmation follows earlier reports that Microsoft is developing a single app blending its chatbot, coding assistant and agentic tools. The announcement comes as competitors also package conversational and coding AI: OpenAI recently unveiled a ChatGPT Work app that integrates ChatGPT with its coding model.

Microsoft reported revenue of $90 billion for the quarter, with the company attributing the increase in part to its AI and cloud businesses. The launch of an integrated Copilot experience will arrive against that backdrop, as Microsoft positions AI as a core growth driver.
The company provided no specific launch date beyond “this year,” nor additional product details during the call. Nadella said he would share more information “soon.”
