Gemini, which replaced Google Assistant on Galaxy Watches running Wear OS last year, is now receiving a new visual update: the Glow Overlay, a multicolor glowing animation combined with a faint dot pattern toward the bottom of the screen.
Gemini’s Glow Overlay and Material 3 Expressive Design
The Glow Overlay is part of Google’s updated design framework, Material 3 Expressive Design. The new look began arriving on compatible Pixel Watches this week and is now appearing on Galaxy Watches as well.
Currently, the design is visible on the Galaxy Watch Ultra (2024). It could become available on all Galaxy Watches running the One UI 8 Watch software.
