Leaker Fahad Ali Javed inspected a One UI 9.0 build for the Galaxy S25+ with firmware S936BXXUBDZG4 and found evidence of Horizontal Lock support. Screenshots showing Camera app shortcuts for “Super steady” and “Horizontal Lock” were also shared and attributed to Abhijeet Mishra, corroborating the presence of the option in this software version.
What this means for Galaxy S25 owners
Samsung often backports features introduced on newer devices to older models through major OS updates. Horizontal Lock’s omission from One UI 8.5 suggested it might not arrive on the 2025 non-foldable S series, but its appearance in a One UI 9.0 build implies Samsung may have changed course.
