Samsung may expand its One UI 9 beta program to the Galaxy S25 FE, potentially giving owners an early look at the Android 17–based update, according to Tarun Vats.
Currently, the stable version of One UI 9 is available only for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8. The One UI 9 beta has so far been limited to the Galaxy S26 series.
Galaxy S25 FE and the One UI 9 beta
Vats says the One UI 9 beta could initially be offered in the UK, South Korea and India, with the US possibly joining later. Samsung has not confirmed the supported markets, and the final list could differ when registrations open.
Samsung only recently began offering One UI beta access to Fan Edition phones: the Galaxy S25 FE, S24 FE and S23 FE all joined the One UI 8.5 beta program. The company launched the Galaxy S FE series to bring flagship features to a lower price point, and the inclusion of FE devices in the One UI 8.5 beta marked a change from a prior focus on flagship models for beta testing.
A maintained list of devices eligible for the One UI 9 update is available for users who want to check their own phone or tablet.
