A new leak indicates the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra may adopt a major camera design change ahead of its launch. A filing in the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) design database reportedly shows three cameras placed side-by-side inside a single horizontal camera module, a clear departure from the individual vertical camera rings used on recent Galaxy S flagships. The filing also appears to depict a smaller camera bump than on earlier Ultra models.

The WIPO filing portrays a consolidated horizontal module housing three rear cameras, rather than the separate vertical rings that have defined the Ultra line for several generations. The report presenting the filing describes this as a potential redesign of Samsung’s flagship camera module.
Expected specifications and pricing
Rumours indicate the Galaxy S27 Ultra will feature a 6.9-inch display and a quad-camera rear system that includes a 5x telephoto sensor. The front-facing camera is expected to be a 16-megapixel sensor. The device is likely to run on a Snapdragon chipset and may include a 5,700mAh battery. Earlier leaks cited in the report mention the possibility of a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset and support for 45W or 65W fast charging.
The Galaxy S27 Pro is also tipped to use a horizontal camera layout. Leaked specifications for the Pro variant include a 6.5-inch privacy display, a triple rear camera setup led by a 50-megapixel lens, a 16-megapixel selfie camera, and a 5,200mAh battery.
According to the same report, the Galaxy S27 Ultra could start at around Rs. 1,49,990, with the top-end variant priced up to Rs. 1,74,990.
