Nigerian defence technology startup Terra Industries has raised an additional USD 18 million, bringing its seed funding to approximately USD 52 million.
Founded in 2024 by Nathan Nwachuku and Maxwell Maduka and based in Abuja, the company develops autonomous security systems and unmanned technologies designed to protect critical infrastructure across Africa.
Terra Industries investors and prior rounds
The latest extension was backed largely by existing investors 8VC, Silent Ventures, Nova Global, Belief Capital and SV Angel, alongside new backers Norleo Space Investments and Grant Gordon. Terra previously raised USD 11.75 million in January, followed by a USD 22 million extension led by Lux Capital in February, which brought the seed total to USD 34 million before the most recent raise.
Planned use of funds and expansion
Terra said the new capital will support manufacturing expansion, including a planned facility in Ghana, and its international expansion efforts.
