Scam Detection to land on Galaxy S27 and older Samsung phones

Hints in the One UI 9.0 beta 7 indicate that Samsung’s Scam Detection feature will be available on the Galaxy S27 and on some older Galaxy devices. At least some legacy Samsung phones will get it.

Scam Detection runs in the background to identify and stop scams by monitoring phone calls and text messages, including messages in different messaging apps. If the feature suspects that a call may be a scam, it will alert the user through a notification, a vibration, or a sound.

Scam Detection functionality

The beta hints do not add further details about rollout or which specific older models are supported, but they make clear the feature operates across calls and multiple messaging platforms and will warn users when a potential scam is detected.
