Pixeom Raises Seed Round to Advance AI Drug-Discovery Platform

Pixeom, an Oita City–based software company, has raised a seed round led by Lifetime Ventures to accelerate the development of its AI-powered molecular structure analysis platform for drug discovery. The funding round closed on September 9, 2026.

Lifetime Ventures led the financing and will provide both capital and strategic business guidance to support Pixeom’s expansion in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors. The company did not disclose the size of the round.

Pixeom plans to use the proceeds to speed up research, development and commercialization of its chemical visual AI platform. Specific uses of funds include upgrading its AI computing environment, enhancing research and development facilities and expanding collaborative proof-of-concept projects with partners in the pharmaceutical and drug discovery industries.

Founded as a university-originated startup from Oita University, Pixeom develops AI-driven platforms for drug discovery and chemical research. Its core technology, the Proximity Score Matrix, converts three-dimensional molecular structures into learnable data representations intended to make academic and institutional research data more actionable for drug discovery efforts.
