Two features that appeared in iOS 27 betas — one‑tap Suggestions in Messages and an automatic compromised‑password fix — will not be included in the initial iOS 27 release on Monday, September 14. Apple says both will ship in a later update.
iOS 27 rollout and timing
Apple noted the delays on its iOS 27 page and on the iPadOS 27 and macOS Golden Gate pages, since both features are cross‑platform. iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 will be released to the public on Monday, September 14. An iOS 27.1 update will arrive before October 23 — the iPhone Duo ships on that date with iOS 27.1 preinstalled — so the postponed features could appear as soon as iOS 27.1.
What’s postponed
The delayed password feature lets the Passwords app, using Apple Intelligence and Safari, fix compromised passwords in the background without the user having to take manual steps. The Messages change would surface Apple Intelligence one‑tap suggestions based on conversation context: if someone asks for a photo or requests a task, Messages would recognize the request and suggest the appropriate action with relevant apps.
