Speakers listed on the event website include Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.; Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn.; Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas; and Rep. Greg Casar, D-Texas. The assembly says it seeks to “bring together select leaders to identify risks, spotlight opportunities, and map practical steps forward.” Its website adds: “By acting now, our leaders can choose this better path for all of us.” The organizers say that “by bringing together faith groups, parents, workers, politicians, national security experts, business leaders, activists, artists, and more, The Pro-Human Assembly 2026 will help make crucial voices heard in AI’s corridors of power.”

Lawmakers have faced growing calls to implement AI guardrails after industry insiders warned last week about the potentially dire consequences of rapidly developing artificial intelligence. Former President Trump, however, has made clear that he is not interested in implementing major AI restrictions.
