Samsung has started the stable One UI 9 rollout for its 2025 flagships, foldables and Fan Edition devices, with the Galaxy S25 FE and Galaxy S25 Edge among the first models to receive the update in South Korea.
One UI 9 update details
The Galaxy S25 FE and S25 Edge are receiving the Android 17–based One UI 9 update. The Galaxy S25 FE build is S731NKSU9CZIF and the Galaxy S25 Edge build is S937NKSUADZIF; both packages include the September 2026 security patch. Galaxy S25 FE users who participated in the beta program, as well as non-beta users, can now install the stable release, while the Galaxy S25 Edge skipped the beta and moved straight to the stable update in Korea.
What One UI 9 brings to the S25 FE and S25 Edge
One UI 9 adds several Galaxy AI features and system refinements. Among the new capabilities is My FanCam, which can automatically keep a selected person centered in video. Now Brief has been improved with new customizable cards, and a Call Brief feature surfaces relevant information during calls. The update also includes minor UI refreshes and various system tweaks.
How to install and rollout status
Owners in Korea can check for the update via Settings > Software update > Download and install; if available, tap Install now and the phone will restart into One UI 9 once installation completes. There is no information yet about availability in other regions. Samsung has yet to roll out One UI 9 stable to Galaxy S26 users outside Korea and the US. With that rollout still pending, the Galaxy S25 series and Z7 foldables are expected to reach global markets next week, according to current reporting.
