Samsung is preparing for its annual Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for July 10, where it is expected to unveil a new range of foldable smartphones and smartwatches. The event is set to feature the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Z Flip 7 FE, and a new tri-fold concept device, the Galaxy G Fold, alongside the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic.
Traditionally, Samsung’s mid-year Unpacked events focus on launching foldables and wearables, and this year seems to expand on that tradition with a wider array of products.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is rumored to be slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, with improved durability. The Z Flip 7 is anticipated to have a larger outer display and an Exynos chipset. The Z Flip 7 FE could introduce a Fan Edition foldable, aiming to make Samsung’s foldable technology more accessible.
Details about the Galaxy G Fold, Samsung’s potential first tri-fold smartphone, are scarce, but it might receive a teaser at the event, reminiscent of previous device previews.
According to reports, the event will likely confirm the Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and Z Flip 7 FE. There is speculation on whether the Z Flip 7 FE will be launched alongside the Galaxy S25 FE in September or announced now with a later release.
Color options for the Z Fold 7 include silver, black, and blue, while the Z Flip 7 is expected in black, blue, and coral red. The Flip 7 will likely come in 256GB and 512GB variants with 12GB RAM, and the Flip 7 FE may offer 128GB and 256GB storage options in black and white.
On the smartwatch side, the Galaxy Watch 8 is rumored to be available in grey and silver, in 40mm and 44mm sizes. The Watch 8 Classic might come in black and white.
With the event approaching, Samsung has yet to confirm these details, but anticipation is high for innovative foldable designs and enhanced smartwatch features. More information is expected in the weeks leading up to the July 10 event.
