Apple Home Collection: Cameras, Lock, Thermostats and More

Apple today unveiled the Apple Home Collection, a line of home accessories developed with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric that includes cameras, thermostats, temperature sensors and a smart door lock designed to work with Apple’s new HomeView hub. All devices are made from premium materials with a minimal aesthetic, are set up with a single tap from iPhone, and can be controlled via the Home app and Siri.

The collection includes multiple LG-made cameras: the LG Video Doorbell ($249.95) with dual cameras—front 2.5K and bottom full HD—plus a built-in spotlight and a chime that plays through HomeView, HomePod or HomePod mini; the LG Outdoor Cam ($299.95) with low-light color night vision and adjustable mounting angles; the LG Indoor Cam ($199.95) with a privacy-preserving tilt feature that tilts up when people are home to avoid recording and tilts down when people leave, using geofencing but also controllable in the Home app or manually; and the LG Floodlight Cam ($399.95) with dual floodlights that activate on motion and low-light color night vision.

LG also supplies the Smart Deadbolt Lock ($349.95), which uses UWB to unlock automatically when the homeowner approaches without a tap, supports PIN entry and a hidden backup key slot, and detects whether the door is opened, closed or has been tampered with. Apple says the doorbell and lock can work together so a user can see who is at the door and unlock it if needed.

On climate control, Apple is offering two thermostats priced at $199.95: an LG Thermostat and a Schneider Electric Thermostat. Both support Adaptive Temperature and can be used with separate temperature and humidity sensors priced at $39.95. In the U.S., the LG Thermostat can activate heating and cooling during lower-cost periods for users with a compatible utility plan.

Cameras in the collection work with iCloud+ plans; live footage and camera activity can be viewed from the Home app on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV 4K and HomeView. All accessories are designed to integrate with HomeView as Apple’s new home hub and to be controlled through Apple software and Siri.

The Apple Home Collection will be available starting in December, with select accessories launching in early 2027.
