M6 Chip to Power New iMac and 14‑Inch MacBook Pro This Week

Mark Gurman reiterated that Apple plans to announce new iMac and 14-inch MacBook Pro models on Wednesday during a “Pro and tell” experience in Los Angeles, with the M6 chip — which debuted in the new Mac mini in August — expected to be the key upgrade for both machines.

M6 chip expected across models

No design changes have been rumored for either Mac, so these are expected to be straightforward chip-and-ship updates. The refreshed iMac and 14-inch MacBook Pro should arrive alongside the touchscreen MacBook Pros.
