One UI 9 update expands to Galaxy A55 users in India

Samsung has begun a wider rollout of the stable One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy A55, extending availability beyond South Korea, where it was released last week. The update brings Android 17, various under-the-hood improvements, additional customization options and a smarter Bixby, among other additions.

As reported by several users, the stable One UI 9.0 build is now arriving in India for Galaxy A55 devices enrolled in the beta program. The new firmware carries version A556EXXUIEZJ1 and the download is reported to be over 300 MB. For users who did not participate in the One UI 9.0 beta, Samsung may release the update later today with a larger download size.

One UI 9 rollout details

The rollout follows last week’s initial release in South Korea and appears to be expanding to more countries via staged distribution. Enrolled beta testers in India are among the first to receive firmware A556EXXUIEZJ1; non-beta users should expect the update to appear later, potentially as a bigger download.
