Brazilian fintech company BlindPay has secured $3.3 million in seed funding from notable investors, including YouTube cofounder Jawed Karim and firms like Bitso, 468 Capital, Transpose Platform, and Acacia Venture Capital Partners, as well as angel investors Raphael Dyxklay and Caetano Lacerda. Specializing in API development for stablecoin payment solutions, BlindPay aims to facilitate cross-border transactions without the constraints of traditional banking systems. The fresh capital will be utilized to enhance global transfer capabilities, acquire operating licenses in new countries, and bolster its presence in Latin America. According to cofounder João Borges, the company has successfully simplified blockchain complexities and navigated financial regulations between the U.S. and Latin America, positioning itself for expansion into new markets. BlindPay currently handles millions in monthly payments across various continents and has seen a 600% increase in transaction volume over the past two months.
