Is the Indian government warning Microsoft Edge and business users about high security risks?

The Indian government has issued a high security alert concerning Microsoft Edge and several other business software products due to significant security vulnerabilities. The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has identified multiple vulnerabilities affecting Microsoft products such as Edge, Windows Server, Windows Certificates, MBT Transport driver, PC Manager, and Azure Databricks. These vulnerabilities could allow attackers to bypass device security and access stored data, potentially leading to ransomware attacks or unauthorized remote control of systems. Microsoft has acknowledged these issues and provided fixes for all affected products. Users are advised to update their software and consider upgrading their security plans as Windows 10 support nears its end.
