Recent leaks reveal that the Galaxy S26 Edge will adopt a horizontal camera bar, similar to Google’s Pixel phones and the anticipated iPhone 17 models. Despite this change, the cameras will maintain a vertical alignment, and the LED flash will remain in place. The new design allows for a larger 4,200mAh battery, an increase from the previous model’s 3,900mAh, and a reduction in thickness from 5.8mm to 5.5mm. All three Galaxy S26 models are expected to feature curved corners and a camera island, with the Ultra variant potentially having a camera bump to accommodate enhanced sensors. The phones are rumored to be slimmer than their predecessors, although this is yet to be confirmed. Samsung seems to be making cautious design changes, especially with the Galaxy S26 Edge, to attract users interested in horizontal camera setups while maintaining familiarity for existing customers.
