Could the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera excel in low-light conditions?

With just four months remaining until the launch of the Galaxy S26 series, many of the phone specifications have already surfaced. Recent details about the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s camera suggest significant improvements in low-light photography.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is set to feature a quad camera system with a 200MP primary sensor boasting an F1.4 aperture, a 50MP ultrawide lens with an F1.9 aperture, a 12MP telephoto lens with an F2.4 aperture and 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP super telephoto lens with an F2.9 aperture and 5x optical zoom. These enhancements, particularly the wider apertures on the primary and super telephoto cameras, are expected to allow more light into the sensors, thereby reducing noise and enhancing image details.

The primary camera’s ability to capture 47% more light compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and the telephoto camera’s 38% improvement, promise sharper and more detailed images. Additionally, the 12MP telephoto camera offers a 20% increase in resolution over the previous model’s 10MP, ensuring even greater clarity.
