What is the camera setup for the Galaxy S26 models?

Samsung is preparing for the launch of its Galaxy S26 series in early 2026, featuring three models with some significant changes. The lineup includes the Galaxy S26 Ultra, S26 Edge, and S26 Pro, with the Edge model replacing the previous Plus version. A recent leak has unveiled the camera configurations for these upcoming smartphones.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is set to boast a 200MP primary camera, utilizing the ISOCELL HP2 sensor with a wider f/1.4 aperture. It retains the 50MP 5x zoom and 50MP ultrawide cameras from the S25 Ultra. However, the 10MP 3x zoom camera might feature a new, albeit not necessarily improved, sensor. Rumors suggest a switch to a smaller 3x zoom sensor for a sleeker design. The Ultra may also receive an updated 12MP selfie camera.

The Galaxy S26 Pro is expected to share the 12MP selfie camera and 10MP 3x zoom lens with the Ultra, alongside a 50MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide lens, mirroring the S25 setup. The S26 Edge could incorporate the Ultra’s 200MP primary camera and 50MP ultrawide lens but lacks a zoom camera, with a similar selfie camera as the other models.

Overall, the Galaxy S26 series maintains much of the existing camera hardware, with Samsung focusing on software enhancements driven by advanced AI and post-processing to improve image quality over previous models.
