PUBG Mobile has introduced a Campus Ambassador Program in Kenya and Nigeria, aiming to attract Africa’s student demographic. This initiative allows university students to host on-campus tournaments, create promotional content, and earn up to $500 monthly. Additionally, students are encouraged to design maps and in-game items, blending entertainment with digital skills and supplementary income opportunities.

This strategy emerges as mobile gaming companies seek to engage Africa’s young, tech-savvy population. With increasing smartphone usage and more affordable data, students are becoming a rapidly expanding segment of the gaming market.

The latest Version 4.0 update features a haunted Wraithmoor Mansion map, the Predator-versus-Survivor UNFAIL mode, and enhancements to the World of Wonder creator platform. Classic Mode now boasts improved weapon handling and the Mortar addition. Africa-specific content includes a Zulu-inspired avatar, a Nigeria Independence Day frame, and a Kenyan bead space gift, enabling players to express cultural identity.

Technical upgrades feature a “Super Smooth” graphics mode with up to 60fps, reduced lag, cooler device temperatures, and faster download speeds.

This initiative highlights global publishers’ efforts to customize products for Africa, where mobile gaming is becoming both an entertainment medium and a digital entrepreneurship platform.
