AIsa Raises Over $9M as Tether and HIVEN Join Seed Extension

AIsa, a San Francisco–based startup building infrastructure for enterprise AI agents, has closed a seed extension round that brings its total funding to more than $9 million, with Tether and HIVEN joining as strategic investors.

In a company statement, founder and CEO Jordan Liu described the investment as support for AIsa’s approach to helping enterprise agents reliably access information and perform transactions in production settings. The startup’s existing backers include Alibaba, Tribe Capital, Sumitomo Corporation, Draper Associates, Saison Capital and other investors.

AIsa’s pitch: governed infrastructure for enterprise agents

AIsa says the current market is hindered by fragmented data and tool providers, scattered integrations, and separate billing systems that complicate scaling and governance for production agents. Rather than treating connectivity as a patchwork of point solutions, the company is building a single infrastructure layer that combines governed access with measurement and payment mechanics to enable trusted information access and controlled tool usage.

The Trusted Resource and Transaction Network

AIsa describes its platform as the Trusted Resource and Transaction Network for enterprise AI agents. The network is intended to connect agents with external data sources, AI search capabilities, model providers, APIs, software tools and industry services, while integrating usage metering, billing and settlement alongside permissioned access. The architecture is presented as a way for administrators to control what agents can do, how much they can spend, and which resources they may access, addressing risks such as uncontrolled data pulls, costly service use, and lack of consistent audit trails.

Tether’s involvement and the payments angle

Tether’s participation in the seed extension adds a payments-and-settlement dimension to the round, though AIsa did not provide details on specific collaboration plans in the announcement. The company framed the tie to stable-value settlement as relevant because enterprises deploying agents may need predictable value transfer and clear accounting when agents transact. Separately, reporting cited in the announcement noted that Tether posted a net operating profit of $1.5 billion for the second quarter, driven primarily by interest earned on U.S. Treasury holdings and repurchase agreements.

What the round signals for enterprise AI

AIsa says it is accelerating the shift from AI assistants to autonomous, production-ready agents by building an approach focused on governed access, spending controls and standardized usage-based billing. With Tether and HIVEN now participating, the company’s roadmap may receive additional momentum as it pursues enterprise integrations. Observers will be watching for concrete product updates and integration milestones that demonstrate the Trusted Resource and Transaction Network supporting end-to-end agent operations, including governed access and transaction settlement at scale.
