In Ho Chi Minh City, nearly 300 cybersecurity experts and leaders from various enterprises and organizations gathered to discuss the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in information security at the CIO CSO Summit 2025. The event, themed “Unleash the future of cyber defence in the AI-driven age,” featured discussions and demonstrations aimed at enhancing the capabilities of cybersecurity teams to tackle emerging threats.
Nguyễn Đức Hiển, a senior official, emphasized the critical role of cybersecurity in safeguarding national data and infrastructure, highlighting the global push towards robust cybersecurity strategies. However, the rapid advancement of AI presents new challenges, such as the rise in AI-driven cyberattacks.
Experts at the summit stressed the need for businesses to adapt by restructuring their security strategies and enhancing their security maturity. In the first half of the year, Việt Nam faced over 8.5 million account thefts, 530,000 DDoS attacks, and 191 data leaks compromising over three billion records.
The summit also saw the launch of VCS Intel Hub, the nation’s first platform for cybersecurity knowledge sharing. This platform aims to facilitate collaboration among businesses, organizations, and experts, providing a coordinated response to threats and optimizing the use of AI in security efforts.
