Mars Challenge has unveiled a groundbreaking global initiative, “NO PLANET B. JUST BETTER PLAN,” aimed at using the challenges of surviving on Mars as a catalyst for developing solutions to Earth’s environmental crises. This platform engages young innovators, aged 15 to 29, to tackle issues like water scarcity and energy sustainability by drawing inspiration from Mars’ harsh conditions. By 2026, the initiative will bring together participants from over 30 countries in Madrid for a final showcase. Adelino Sousa, the founder, emphasizes that Mars should be seen not as an escape plan but as a reflective tool to rethink life on our planet. The campaign encourages global participation through digital engagement, aiming to create a viral movement for change.
