Hospitals in the U.S. are overwhelmed by administrative tasks, with nearly a third of their workforce dedicated to non-clinical roles. These administrative duties cost around $450 billion annually, as staff spend countless hours on calls and paperwork, leading to patient delays and missed appointments. Prosper AI, a healthcare voice AI platform, has secured $5 million in seed funding from Emergence Capital to address these inefficiencies. Despite advancements in digital portals and apps, the phone remains central to healthcare operations. Prosper AI’s voice agents manage phone interactions comprehensively, from scheduling to insurance verification, directly integrating with major EHR systems. This innovation has already been implemented in over 15 healthcare organizations, resulting in reduced staff workloads and improved patient service. With new funding, Prosper AI aims to expand its reach, enhance EHR integrations, and develop its AI capabilities to handle more complex tasks, ultimately aiming to streamline healthcare administration and improve access to care.
