Samsung has set its sights on surpassing the sales of its Galaxy S25 series with the upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup. In the first six months following the launch of the Galaxy S25, the company sold 22.7 million units. Now, Samsung is targeting a 5% increase, aiming to sell 24 million units of the Galaxy S26 series in the same timeframe. Annually, the goal is to reach 35 million units.
The Galaxy S26 series is anticipated to feature the Exynos 2600 chipset in most regions, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will be available in others. Despite skepticism about the performance of the Exynos 2600 and concerns that the Galaxy S26 and S26+ may not offer significant upgrades, Samsung’s sales targets indicate confidence in the new lineup. This suggests that the Exynos 2600 might meet expectations or that Samsung believes the choice of chipset and minimal upgrades won’t hinder sales.
Furthermore, Samsung plans to achieve record-breaking sales in 2026, aiming for 240 million Galaxy smartphones and 27 million Galaxy tablets, generating an estimated revenue of KRW 130 trillion or $90.7 billion.
