FinTax, a cryptocurrency financial and tax infrastructure provider, closed a seed round at a post‑money valuation of $40 million, the firm said on August 27. The round was led by YZi Labs through EASYResidency S4.
Amber Group, HashHouse Tech, Pundi AI, Waverider International and Nexus Holdings also participated in the seed. Earlier investors in FinTax include Victory Courage, Bgin Blockchain, Tools Factory and individual investor Chao Fan.
FinTax focuses on on‑chain data processing, crypto accounting, cross‑jurisdictional tax practice and financial auditing of digital assets, targeting institutional‑grade workflows. Its technology stack is designed to plug crypto‑native activity into existing financial, tax and audit systems across multiple jurisdictions.
FinTax to scale product lines, expand regionally and deepen AI
Following the seed raise, FinTax said it plans to scale five core product lines and expand its footprint beyond Asia‑Pacific and North America into Europe and the Middle East. The company also intends to deepen the use of AI in complex financial and tax scenarios.
YZi Labs said it views the investment as the start of a longer‑term ecosystem collaboration across stablecoins, RWA, payments and institutional digital asset infrastructure. The two parties plan to work together on compliance standards and new use cases that link on‑chain activity with traditional legal and tax frameworks.
