Aether, a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform powered by artificial intelligence and based in New Zealand, has successfully raised NZ$3.8 million, equivalent to A$3.4 million, in a Seed funding round. This investment was spearheaded by Icehouse Ventures, a well-known venture capital firm in Auckland that focuses on early-stage technology companies with ambitious Kiwi founders aiming for global impact. Brand Fund 2 also participated in the funding round.
With this new capital, Aether plans to accelerate its product development and expand its workforce across Australia and New Zealand. Founded in 2025 by Carsten Grueber and Ursula von Keisenberg, Aether offers an AI-driven platform tailored for marketing, insights, and communications teams. The platform aids organizations in creating presentations and documents that align with their brand by utilizing both structured and unstructured data sources, ranging from spreadsheets to institutional knowledge. By integrating live data into workflows, Aether eliminates the need for repetitive manual updates and helps preserve institutional knowledge.
