Samsung has unveiled its latest firmware update, announcing the One UI 9.0 beta program. Initially available for the Galaxy S26 series, the beta will be accessible this week to users in South Korea, Poland, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, and India through the Samsung Members app. This Android 17-based update introduces new creative tools, enhanced customization, and advanced AI features. The Quick Panel has been revamped to allow more control over brightness, volume, and media player settings. Additionally, One UI 9 strengthens security against suspicious apps, offering early detection and suggesting deletions via security updates. The beta launch provides Samsung with ample time to address any bugs before the public release, which is expected in the second half of the year, following the launch of new foldable phones. These will be the first to fully integrate the new Galaxy AI features included in One UI 9.
