Vancouver-based startup ShopVision Technologies has raised $5.6 million CAD in seed funding for its AI-powered market research platform. The funding round, led by Brightspark Ventures with participation from BDC Capital, Rhino Ventures, and other strategic investors, aims to enhance the company’s market reach, product development, and data collection. Founded in 2024 by Harry Chemko, Peter Sheldon, and Jeff Neil, ShopVision offers e-commerce merchants an AI-driven tool for automating competitive analysis. This tool integrates with various data sources to monitor competitors’ promotions, evaluate past campaign performances, and suggest optimal timings for new campaigns. Chemko, who previously founded Elastic Path, continues to serve as its chief strategy officer while leading ShopVision. The platform, currently available only in North America, plans to expand globally soon.
