The 22nd China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair has opened with a new Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) exhibition zone, highlighting cultural and technological trends while enhancing global cooperation. The event, covering 160,000 square meters, is China’s largest cultural expo, featuring over 6,300 exhibitors from 65 countries. It emphasizes innovative retail, tech-driven products, and the cultural and tourism assets of APEC economies, as Shenzhen gears up to host the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in November.
The APEC zone showcases diverse products, from Vietnamese coffee and Thai cultural items to Malaysian crafts and Chilean wine, fostering cultural exchange in the Asia-Pacific region. Viann Ye from the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce hopes the fair will boost Malaysia’s recognition and attract more tourists. Indonesian exhibitor Hartanto W Tanto, impressed by the fair’s scale, sees it as a chance to explore the Shenzhen market with his specialty products.
The Hong Kong Pavilion, themed “Unboxing Hong Kong,” features over 100 exhibits and a pop-up store for on-site purchases, alongside cultural activities. The Macao Pavilion highlights film production, advertising, and technology sectors.
Additionally, the fair includes major areas for artificial intelligence technology products. Duan Chao from DexForce Technology reports strong interest in their embodied intelligence technology, indicating promising prospects in tourism and consumption sectors.
