How can you revert from iOS 27 Beta to iOS 26?

Apple’s beta software versions, especially the early releases, can often present bugs. If you’ve installed the iOS 27 or iPadOS 27 beta and are experiencing issues like malfunctioning apps, poor battery life, or device crashes, you might consider returning to iOS 26. To do this, you’ll need an archived backup made before the beta installation. Without it, you can still downgrade, but you’ll have to set up your device as new or use an older backup. Note that if your Apple Watch is on watchOS 27 beta, it won’t sync with an iPhone on iOS 26, and reverting the watchOS requires sending the device to Apple.

To downgrade, connect your iPhone or iPad to a computer and enter recovery mode. This process varies by device model. Once in recovery mode, choose to restore your device. This action will erase it and install the latest signed version of iOS or iPadOS. Afterward, you can restore a backup from iOS 26 using your Mac or iCloud.
